Ms. Corvino's Website

Welcome to Mrs. Corvino's 4th grade class website! I am looking forward to an exciting and educational year together!

Dear Families,

Welcome to 4th grade!  My name is Mrs. Corvino (formerly Miss Teschemacher), and I am thrilled to be your child’s 4th grade teacher. A new school year marks a new beginning, a fresh start, and is an opportunity to set new goals for the upcoming school year.  As students enter school, they are turned over to the care of their school, teachers, Principal and Vice Principal. Riverview School educates the whole child and creates a learning community that includes both rigorous academics and social-emotional character development. It is my honor and privilege to be your child’s 4th grade teacher this year.

It is my goal to instill a love for learning in each child so they can learn, grow and  look forward to coming to school each day to learn with our “class family.” My hope is that our classroom becomes a “second home” for your child - becoming a place where they feel safe to embrace challenges, make mistakes, learn and grow. I look forward to caring for, supporting and encouraging your child daily as we embark on the wonderful adventure of learning together.  I believe that a successful school year for children always begins with parent/teacher teamwork and partnership.

Important Information:

Snacks: Your child should bring a healthy snack every day to school. A mid-morning snack helps ensure your child is nourished, comfortable, alert and ready to learn!

Daily Binders: Your child will be bringing home a binder containing their take-home folder and agenda planner each day. It is important to read and review the content with your child DAILY. I will communicate with you about classroom events, permission slips and other important information via the take-home folder. Please use this folder to send in any notes about your child’s transportation or anything else you see fit.

I am very aware of the impact teachers have on the lives of their students, and it is my hope that I make an impact on your child that will last a lifetime. Therefore, I pledge to care for each of my student’s individual social and academic needs throughout the year and show them that our classroom is a safe and consistent place to learn, grow and explore. In return, I expect each child to put forth their best effort each day. I am so excited to be your child’s 4th grade teacher, and am looking forward to getting to know your family throughout the school year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kimberly Corvino
