Hi! My name is Stephanie Avallone. I am the School Psychologist and one of the Case Managers at Riverview Elementary School.
I am Nationally Certified in School Psychology, hold a Bachelors in Psychology from the University at Buffalo and hold a Masters in School Psychology from Iona College. Prior to joining Riverview Elementary, I worked as the Student Support Coordinator / School Psychologist at a Charter School in Plainfield, NJ for six years and at a Charter School in Newark, NJ for two years. In addition, I was a School Psychologist at a preschool that serviced students with disabilities. During my time at these positions, I oversaw the special education departments, conducted psychological evaluations, provided individual and group counseling, supported crisis situations, and worked closely with administrators to ensure all students received the support they needed to be successful. In addition to working in a school setting, I also have experience working for a Neuropsychologist conducting neuropsychological evaluations for both children and adults. During my personal time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and twin daughters.
